Washington DC commonly refered to as The District or simply D.C., a city known as the capital of the United States, home of the President and a city with many of the Nation’s Monuments and Museums. Maybe not known to many, the District also holds the reputation for having one of the worst traffic and congested city streets, making people turn to public transportation.
Even after the tragic train accident in june 22, 2009 that left 9 dead and many injured, public commuters still has no choice but to rely on public transportation, even if they often find hours of their day spent getting from point a to point b.
Most often you will hear the familiar phrase “Please add 30minutes to your travel time” being announce on Metro Station platforms, leaving people to spend most of their time in Metro Rail Cars.
